Guidance in faith from a very senior MD leader

I'm publishing this guidance because it's not only applicable to my current problems but in fact to anyone who's going through a very difficult time. I went to meet this senior leader last weekend because I could not see any breakthroughs or any way forward.

He said that such a difficult problem has arisen to allow me two things-

1. To lessen my Karmic retribution - and believe now that poison will change into medicine.
2. To awaken to my mission in faith - which is to work for happiness of others in all areas of my life, based on my prayers and faith.

No matter how dark the problem is, when you awaken to kosen-rufu, it is like the sun arising in one's life. The heart (ichinen) is most important. Use this opportunity to deepen your understanding of Buddhism and start afresh.

More you pray for others and for your block / district to grow, the more your life will shine.

More important than winning is to not be defeated.

Be the pillar of strength in your family - tell them not to worry. Be like Ikeda Sensei who supported Toda Sensei through his toughest times and repayed all his debts.

Determine to resolve the situation and engage in sincere dialogue with parties.

Learn from your mistakes and do not repeat them. This situation has come about so I can deal with my Karma and win and also to awaken to my mission in life.

Pray to manifest your buddha nature - so that the enviroment will manifest it too. As long as we are not defeated in faith, we will win.

Sensei said, "Your circumstances can never defeat you, if you are defeated it is because you have lost hope".

Myo has 3 meanings / interpretations:-

Myo - Perfectly endowed (containing all virtues & benefits)

Myo - To Open

Myo - To Revive (hope, courage, strength whatever it is that we have lost)

Establish the prime points in faith:- Gohonzon and Sensei

Practise with the same determination as Sensei, read his guidances. When we chant we create good fortune which always stays with us & does not get exhausted - unless we neglect our practice.

As long as we have good fortune, nothing can destroy us.

There is no falsity in Gohonzon or Daishonin. Believe. Just Trust & Pray.

Don't complain or grudge the lack of fortune, Now start afresh.

Make prayer the foundation of your life, business, relationships - everything.

Faith brings Hope, Courage and Confidence.

Determine never to forsake your faith (neither Gohonzon nor Sensei).

Recent guidance

I recently got guidance from a very senior WD leader and somethings she said, well, I've known but was not really following. She said I needed to remove all negativity from my mind. Whatever has happened so far has happened, one needs to look beyond it all and move forward.

So, pray to remove negativities from within and apologize to Gohonzon for attracting all the negativity in our lives to begin with. Praying for protection is very important so that shoten zenjin continue to safeguard us and we dont wander on a path which brings us harm either now or in the future. This obviously means to pray to hone our wisdom and common sense.

Buddhism is reason, it is logical. What we dont understand, we call mystic but there really is nothing mystic in the science of Buddhism. We have to chant to bring out our higher worlds so we live in our positive, happy, learning, seeking and compassionate frames.

Arrogance always brings downfall and we must be very careful in our good times to not become arrogant. We need to always be grateful for everything good in our lives and even for the bad stuff, so long as we keep learning.

We have to become a pillar for Gakkai and for our own families and society. Remember always to be the one people lean on. We, through our faith are not only examples of Buddhism but are also representatives & workers of Sensei.

We must always conduct ourselves in our thoughts, words and actions as representatives of Ikeda Sensei.
When the situation is not in our hands and we cannot directly resolve it, we have to believe in the potential of our friends/family dealing with that situation and we must continue to pray for their protection & wisdom and for them to come closer to Gohonzon.
